i have an idea of opening a forum (i hear the yawn from the more experienced members.) but i'm thinking of opening one just for the topic of hybrid debate/philsophy. nothing to deep just a place where people can just their ideas and have them debated. i'm wondering whether anyone would be interested or has any ideas related to the topic.

There are many forums like that. You might want to take a look at iidb.org for some ideas. They're an extremely popular philosophical debate forum, with an some emphasis on religion (mostly on why the Bible doesn't hold any water). A good read, too! :D
