Lag on Xbox Live

Alright, so my younger brother owns an Xbox equipped with xbox live, which I play with from time to time.

Anyways, now and then I play a few games of 'RtCW' on Xbox live, and every single time I encounter serious lag.
I very highly doubt it's my cable connection or anything like that, so I have no clue what is going on.

Does anyone else has similar problems while playing on Xbox Live?

Ugh, well at least it's not happening to just me.

Rather disapointing though, cause I doubt the problem will be resolved anytime soon.
