I think for now this is the best for D.I.Y
Windows XP Professional
Sound Card: Audigy 2 Platinum EX (Creative)
Ram: 4GB
Hard Drive:200 GB
Modem: Internal PCI Modem with speed of 56 kbps
Casing with own design and name on it.
12.2 Point speakers(12 speakers)EAX Enabled(warcraft 3 best)
This one is my fren's and his cousin owns a computer shop...think of the discount he can get

I'm not sure what the point of this thread is about, but anything with the Creative name on it certainly isn't the best. 4 Gigs of RAM is pointless on a desktop, 1 gig maybe, but even 512MB is more the norm. 200GB of HDD space would be useless to the majority of users as I know a lot who can't even use 40 GB. As far as a case, you can't say there's a best. It's just what people like... and I certainly wouldn't want my name on it. :confused2

Do you have a high enough budget to also get a good CPU and video card?
Instead of 4GB, I would prefer 512MB for Windows XP Pro and use that extra money elsewhere.
Have you looked at motherboards yet?
What kind of speakers are you planning to buy?

You forgot lots of stuff.
Adding a Pentium 100 will ruin everything, though

I'd go AMD, but that's just personal preference.
Might as well go Gigabit ethernet though since it's already onboard a few boards anyway.
