I'm looking for a web host that is reliable and will allow you to host images(picture galleries) and wallpapers etc...I've got my Please help me find a decent host thanks

Reasonable amount of space and bandwidth

don't care about ads

I'm already hosted at hostultra.com but they do not allow picture galleries etc...

Really read their FAQ and TOS, they do not allow Celebrity websites, music or movies, and file sizes over 80K. You didnt state what kind of galleries you host, but Im just assuming its a fan site of some kind.

They state outright that they DO accept TGP's.

One word of warning this is a Porn friendly host. If you're running a G or PG site, you might want to make sure you catagorize your site property and that you keep an eye for the ads that they will use on your site.

And also linking to other sites might be a problem, as the FAQ states that there is a list of "approved" links by the server itself.

If anyone uses this host, PLEASE READ THE SMALL PRINT.

BTW, Stargater, is this a SG1 fan site? Im looking for sister/brother sites.

thanks belladonna for the advice...yeah my site is a stargate sg1 site (a fan site). I thank you for the advice I always read the TOS i don't want to get or cause trouble

You're most welcome, I know how much of a pain it is to find a good free host these days, and Im sad to say hostultra just isn't one one of my favourites, mostly its because that board over there is just cliche-y. That and you need to buy an account to make a reasonable site there. (And before a Pro-HU comes running in here to advertise the paid plans - which I have had in the past) There are ALWAYS better plans out there, you just have to sort through the silt.

Check thefree hosting foum (http://freewebspace.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=32) here, sometimes a post for help will be answered with an offer for hosting.
Or someone is looking for a hostee with your needs.
