I'm so frustrated with the different DNS management services- GoDaddy won't give you a catch-all forwarding address... MyDomain screws up certain email addresses of mine and won't forward them... now that I'm trying ZoneEdit, I've had three outages over the past 24 hours where one of my websites was inaccessible via its domain name.
Anyone else experiencing similar problems? Basically, when I try to go to this website by its domain name (forwarded through ZoneEdit), every once in awhile, nothing happens. It's as if my domain name isn't resolving in the DNS. Eventually I get the error message saying it can't connect. But it works as long as I go to the website's true URL. Other people are experiencing the same outage going to my website.
Sometimes it seems to load a webpage, but the screen is blank, there's no source HTML. Sometimes it works if I type the www, but doesn't if I leave it off. And sometimes vice versa.
This is using cloaked forwarding by the way. The other domain name I'm forwarding with ZoneEdit is non-cloaking, and it's not having any problems.
I'm on the verge of having to tell my client we have to get them an actual (paid) hosting package for their website, instead of just serving it from my own website. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Should I bother trying to get support from ZoneEdit?
