I have grown tired with my Lexmark multifuction from about two years ago.. the X73 model. I need a recommendation for something new around or under $130. My lexmark is good but I just want something with better photo quality.

Try Hp OfficeJet, I saw one which has multi functions recently.

I will look at HP...

Another one I was looking at is the Epson CX5200.... anyone know anything about that one?

I think that Epson seems to be a good buy. I had a look at it last week and seemed nice and good

[add] i'm not really good about printer quality, i recently checked out an article on printers and it seemed that epson has one of the best qualities. i'm still using a darn old printer since 1999, its an epson stylus color 440.

Well were you happy with your Lexmark? if yes try to get another Lexmark. My personal experience with printers, and printers that i have seen used by other people have found that Lexmark is the best, HP is probably second, and Canon=Bad.

The only problem with Epson is I heard it eats up ink like crazy... but it has the best quality on the market and always had.

Yes, Lexmark has proven a highly reliable brand. Not the best quality, but certainly very good. The photos could be better but that is why I am upgrading.

The Lexmark I have on my list, if I would decide to get one is:

I saw a sample print out from this printer and it was excellent. Better than the other multifunctions I saw. Epson had similar results. The quality is way better than my current.

Our family got a Lexmark X83 Copier/Scanner/Printer for christmas. The photo quality, indeed, could be better, but otherwise it's okay.

I think the one you found is better though, it's higher quality and less expensive.

Yeah get the Lexmark. If the quality, as you said, matches the epson, then with the Lexmark reliability it should be a good buy.
