Excelland ?!?!?

Where i can find a free webspace like excelland for my community?? I want to create a community with all my friends with websites dedicated to comics & cartoons.. i've found excelland and just start up when it's dead..

I see http://www.communityarchitect.com and think that is the best but they want a domain like http://www.nomesite.xxx and a lot of pageviews... ;-( Now I'm trying http://www.wigloo.com / http://www.megagiga.com and think they are good but they give only 10mbyte ;-D

I am crying over Excelland! I made with them the best site I ever had! I wish that they will find the money to go live again!!!

Try an WhoIs at Networksolutions.com and mail the owner of the domain excelland.com if you have around 100,000$ to invest in their company. I think their business model is designed for success.

Excelland showed promise at first, but it was obvious that they were short the needed funds to make it succeed. The servers became dog-slow and unreliable which was a major turnoff to potential members. Plus, in the last few months of their existence, first all of the new features they added were "pay extra" features, then they starting taking previously free features and changing them to "pay". I think they just bit off more than they could chew. :(

Their offering "unlimited" space/bandwidth was also probably a bad idea.

They cut that down to 100MB around the first of this year... That was the first sign of trouble.
