How do I turn my computer into a server?

I know how to set it up, but how do I make it so people can only access a certain directory...? Because I don't want people to be able to look at any files except the ones I specify...

go get a program called serv-u ftp to setup a ftp server. you prob need a fast connection to have one.

maybe you can install a soft called apache ,then they only can visit the page you add in.
