Whenever one of those windows pops up, often I WILL enter the information correctly and the window will just pop up again...

Uhmm..you know in some sites that require you to be a member, a little window will pop up asking for the username and password?? It isnt another IE Window, its a little...box... :confused2 it has a picture of keys...

She means when a website uses http authentication. By setting the usernames in a .htaccess and .htpasswd.
