PHPBB And Ad Revenues?

I haven't used a company to turn a profit from running their ads in about 4 years now, so I'm not sure what the market is like anymore. But I do have a few questions and I thought someone here could help.

My first question is this - the entire website is a message forum community that is a PHPBB board. Is it be possible to insert rotating banner ads somewhere on a board like that? I'm looking at this board, and thinking it might be. How hard would it be to do?

If it is possible to do this, which companies should I be looking into? I don't want any popups because that's annoying and I know my visitors woudn't appreciate it. I'd like to simply be able to embed a banner that would be viewed on each page.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated. The site in question generates an average of 15 GB of traffic a month. I thought some company might be interested in that.

You can customize your phpBB with ease. Just go into your template directory and modify the files (they are also named so you can know where does each one come - header.tpl for your header -up -, footer.tpl for your footer(?:P) and so on) - but make sure to back up your existing files.
I don't really think you can make some decent money advertising on a board, but it's only up to you.

One easy way if you want to take a shortcut, is to search for banner rotation on www.phpbbhacks.com and you will find hacks which will do what you need them to do.

Well, yeah, thats usuaully what a hack is.

I'm putting google adsense and a banner system in my forum. You only need to put in your overall_header.tpl

For banner rotation system, you might want to check out phpbbhacks and hotscript. I'm using phpAdsNews, very good.
