Is your site hosted at megagiga? I thought they only give sub-domains and don't have domain hosting. Are all your iles at megagiga? and the cgi scripts? provided by megagiga?

If that question was directed at me, yes, everything on the site is hosted at wigloo.
And yes, the domain is hosted by them too. Just RTFM. :)

Right when I signed up, there was a box you could click on to set up your domain. I gave them one of my domain names, took the nameserver info to the registrar and modified the domain to point to them. A couple of days later, it began resolving correctly. (domain.kg isn't the fastest registrar in the world, but the price is right.)
There is also a link they have so your sites can have domains as well.

I'm at work, so I don't have the info at my fingertips. Then again, I also have a domain hosted there. So, mine is http://www.birkitty.com.kg I think it was http://www.wigloo.com/birkitty before, but only used it once. All this should have been in a welcome message they sent to the email address they sent you when you signed up.

The only thing I like about megagiga is the speed. It is running on a internet backbone of OC-48. That's it...no tools or support. I mean the cgi is already written but you can't customize it.

If u start free hosting with them, do they put ads on your page?
Or only on your member's pages?

Only on your members page. They only require you to have a small button linking towards their website on your frontpage. That's it. If you have a great and professional site and would like to get something better, now that excelland is out, check out Community Architect!
I did! I got everything setup within 1 week. Now is just to finish the front page of my other web site.

I know Excelland.com is down but you only have to put Powered by Excelland.com on your site (and it can be placed anywheere as some of these services tell you where to place it, or your kicked off the service(portland)), not a button that may not go with your site layout, I queit easily built a professional looking site with them and they don't take 3 weeks to get up and running (community architecht), a couple of months ago, people would have laughed at Community Architect, as it was slow unreliable a lot worse than excelland.com, and for some reason when you wanted to sign up with community architect, you got half the sign up page.

I just setup with Community Architect, to replace the Excelland setup that I wasted my time on, and it only took a week to get everything going... And it wouldn't have even took that if I hadn't taken a couple of days to get the forms faxed back to them.

How much traffic does your site get? coz CA has a strict minimum traffic policy, or have they junked it?

I hope not, I havent seen any rule of it kind in the agreement and I havent been asked what kind of volume of traffic I can get to the site striaght away, if it anything above 100 hits within the first week I am buggered.

Well, if you got an email telling you to set your dns to them, then you have been accepted! Congartulations. BTW what other features do they offer? how much webspace , cgi, ssi? for the basic website not for the member websites.

Well I have been accepted as my DNS has been given and my service is now ready ( http://freewebhost.com.kg for those interested). I have regone through the agreements and I cannot find anything about a minium traffic rule.

I setup the DNS address with my .kg domain before signing up since they can take upto a month before the sites are visable to anyone who lives in England or in deed the USA.
