Trojan detector & 'Messenger Service'

Can anyone tell me of a good Trojan Detector/Anti-Trojan program? It would be great if it was free or a shareware program, but refer me to any that are good.

Also, Does anyone know how to get rid of this so called 'Messenger Service'? I keep getting pop ups like crazy!

START -> RUN -> services.msc -> right click on MESSENGER and pick PROPERTIES -> STARTUP TYPE = DISABLED

can norton remove trojans? It always deletes the files.

no prob :D i know how annoying it is since they alwys popped up on me when i was playing a game online. stupid popups got me killed everytime :mad:
