Freeservers is smoking crack

I don't know if this is even the right forum for this, but...

So go to start building my page on freeservers, this being the first time I have used them, and I get all my includes in order, I have all my SSI code (which I was told they support) and I rename my file to *.shtml, I upload it, and then when I go to view it, I get my IP address in big red letters, saying that I don't have permission to view that file, and shtml is not supported. So I figure that they must simply parse all html/htm files for SSI, so I rename it .html, and then .htm and both of those show no indication of having any of my includes.

Clicking around, I find an area in the FAQ which tell me that they have ISML, and that I can include files with it. So I redo my SSI into ISML and it works fine. Which brings me to the point of this post. What the hell is ISML, I have never heard of it before. If there any documentation on it besides the lackluster FAQ's at freeservers? Do any other servers support it? Does it have any advantages or disadvantages to SSI? Or is freeservrs just hitting the rock too hard on this one?

Also I am guessing that ISML stands for Including Server-Side Mark-up Language, but if anybody knows, please correct me.

All I really know about it is it's a lot like ASP and Netscape doesn't like it. I heard them talking about it on TechTv the other day...But I can't find anything on it at builder.com, webmonkey, or even slashdot(which is unusual...). The only sites I've seen using it so far were at freeservers. If you find anything out on it, let me know, I'm curious.

I disagreeed with it so much, that I tried to make fun of it in my sig. I had never seen corporatist before that, and whether it is a word or not... I didn't use it first.

50megs has the exact smae info as freeservers does... Makes me wonder what else they have in common...
