Black cdr?

My lappy isnt able to read those psx style black cdr's.
Is there a way (patch/app/whatever) that I can apply to my dvdrom to read those?

Its a toshiba SD-C2302.
I looked on google but only found a firmware hack to make it region-free dvd, nothing else.

Any ideas? Or it just cant read them at all.

if you know ne1 else with any other type of dvd-rom try reading it with that, or maybe it just doesn't support it.
