I sincerely doubt anyone will know anything about this... buuut... when I try to install the game an error comes up saying:
Component: Program Files
File Group: Data
D:\data2.cab
Error: Incorrect function.
I read the FAQ and I *think* it may be a bad CD ( it IS second-hand since I could find any -new- copies to buy). The disk looks perfectly clean...no scratches or anything... I doubt Ill be able to go back and get another copy ~_~ This happens when the installation is at 50%.

Same thing happens with my nfs3 cd,
I found out that a custom install worked, sonce it didnt copy certain files
try a minimal install or custom and try if it works

How do you do that? :P I dont think you can for this game...
Also, I dunno if it matters, but when I have the game's disc in, my computer will go incredibly slow when I go to..well..My Computer (I have to go there since nothing for the game pops up and I have to explore the D drive, which I found the setup exe)

OHOH! And I think only one disk is used in play, but the game has TWO disks to install. Maybe it needs the second disk for the other 50% of the install, which is why it doesnt work! But how do I put that one in since it never asks... :P

No. You've got a screwed up disk. That My Computer slowness is it trying to get an icon and disk name off the CD. Make sure to also check something weird didn't happen to your drive before you toss the CD tho.

I think what he means, is that my computer frezes up for a few moments, (takes longer to access the cd)

If my computer freezes, it's attempting to get an icon and a volume name from the CD. If it's running slowly a few things could be happening:
a) Your CD could be scratched
b) Your CDROM drive could be overheating
c) Your computer could be overheating
d) It just might be Windows, reboot and try again
I'm guessing it's a)

I second that guess. The only reason problems like this happens to me is a crap CD (Dirty/Scratched).
