I have made a Blaster removal tool for mIRC addicts. It runs in mIRC and is scripted in mIRC. It's semi auto, you have to terminate msblast.exe yourself and kill that registry key. The neat tool just saves you the time from finding where it is and deletes all instances in the SYSTEM32 and Prefetch directory.

It asks you whether its msblast, teekids, or penis32 .exe. Check it out... hopefully I made something interesting.

Put the file in your mirc directory
Just type /load -rs script9.ini

Copied from my website
Download it http://home.pacific.net.sg/~furrypandy/script9.ini

Good work Trenz, looks pretty cool. :)
If I had the worm I'd give it a go.

Make sure you submit it to some of the major scripting sites.

Phyxisus, tell me, have you seen an MSBlast removal tool written for mIRC already?
I highly doubt it.
Trenterra's script is merely an alternative for removing the worm, and the script shows the power of mIRC.

The more ways to remove a virus the better. Keep in mind many viruses attack EXE's that often would disinfect it. I know I've run in to that where I either had to use HouseCall (Antivirus.com ActiveX control) or an emergency read only boot disk. You can never have to many ways to attack a virus. Good work trenz!

heh, that's quite cool :)

Would you object if i posted it on an mIRC related forum that i use? i think they would find it useful.

I'm happy to host the file if you're worried about bandwidth.

No, I would not object. In fact, I would be more than happy :)

I have released a new version which includes the registry hack.

BTW if you don't have Blaster, it won't output anything.
