My friends sends me a remote assistance request, but my stupid lappy always denies it:



The invitation from 2 Days Left ... Then College to start Remote Assistance was declined. The program is disabled or is not installed on your computer.

running xp pro, have installed all critical updates, messenger 4.7 + msn 6

Only thing I can find is

"enable remote assistance"

description: allow remote assitance to be sent from this computer,
but its the opposite, I want to receive.

Where do I check it? :S

i needed a fast answer, more ppl here then pc, oh well, jan, change it pls

anyways,
I check on ms site on how to enable remote assitance,
seems that its already enabled
right-click on my computer->properties->Remote tab, enabled
checked in registry, was enabled
ran gpedit.msc, was enabled

so I tried to disable and re-enable but still dosnt work :confused:

Did you uninstall Windows Messenger before?

it was already installed, I didnt uninstall,
simply went to windowsupdate and tried to update messenger, it updated, rebooted, and still nothing
