It's very cheap data transfer...
I wonder where their server is... I would trace it, but I'm not going to.

Sems www.hiyacorp.com is located at..
http://www.b12.org/
The tracert showed it on server1.b12.org.
Take a look at:

According to the whois: hiyacorp.com
Creation Date: 2003-06-19
They havn't been in business long. I wouldn't trust prices like those and expect it to last. Seems they have a reseller account with b12.org maybe.. or a server through them.
Just my 2 cents as a free host. :D

Funny thing is... He will most likely go with them and then come back and curse the hosting industry.

Always..
Thats the way of the world. People demand everything for nothing and whine when they don't get it.

hiyacorp used to offer free hosting but the site admin said their servers were being "picked out" so they gave special deal on paid plans, i upgraded from my 50mb/10gb free plan to a 500mb/50gb paid plan for just $10 a year. 2 weeks later i get an email that their paid servers are getting "picked out." they refunded my money but didnt let me back up my site :(

I think people need to come up with a new phrase.

No need to flame them, if they choose to do hosting for 50 cents per month, then let them, and as for those that decide to signup with them, good luck :book:
Also for those of you thinking Hiyacorp is cheap, take a look at http://www.1portfolio.com/hosting/
just last week they were offering hosting for 19 cents a month and unlimited everything for $1 / month :D
Read more about it here:

Any host with prices that low is a bad bet for their customers because, they are losing money. Show me how you make money with 19 cents a month and I'll change my tune. Until then..
Just my 19 cents worth of "flaming".

I've decided not to go with them, after doing some research and hearing some reviews here, it doesn't seem to be a very reliable host. Too bad though, would have been really cheap. I settled on snake-inc.com, the price seems reasonable and I had no problems when I used their free hosting (although right now, their mysql database is down). Thanks for all the advice!

If you search for the topic on WHT, they were found to have offered Unlimited Hosting at first, but then the owner decided to delete it and attempt to act like they never offered it. If you ask me, this is not a very good business policy.
