I have read all (well, most of the) topics on this forum, and none really (fully) answered my questions.

First, I want to register a domain without using a credit card or paypal (reason: I don't want to use my creditcard on the web). So, I want to pay though check or money order. Can anyone recommend such a company?

I am currently looking at registering with either hostway.com or namecheap.com (don't know if namecheap.com accepts checks or money orders? Does anyone know?).

Second, I do not want to show my real information on the web (security/privacy reasons).
I guess that this shouldn't be too important since getting paid is all that matters for a company. :D
I could give the company that hosts my domain name the real information about me but I DO NOT WANT to post it on the web so that everybody can see it. (I saw that godaddy.com offers such a service but they ask for a creditcard.)
Anyways, is there anybody with whom I could register (through an arrangement of some sort) such that I do not have to use my personal information on the web (when Whois is done on my domain)?

Hi

Registerfly.com accept cheques and money orders.

Domains are $9.99 (.com .net .org) and they offer private registration, so your details are not displayed in the whois, for $2.50

hows that :p

Thanks, I will look at it. registerfly.com (http://www.registerfly.com/)
The only problem is that I think they are down, because the page doesn't load. It says page not found.

Does anyone know any other such companies?

Update: The website now works except that they seem to have problems with their MYSQL databases, since when you try to register you get all kind of MYSQL database warnings.

Update 2: They have fixed the website. I am registering a domain right now. If anyone can give me a reason as to why I shouldn't register with them please post here FAST!!!!!!!!
