My mum went to buy a camera today. The salesman told her that an Olympics camera (MJU II Zoom 170) was going on sale for SG$399. A film camera that is, which I spoilt three days ago on filming Mars :p. And best of all, it came FREE with a printer. My father says its not free and blah blah blah. But I think its a pretty good deal.

The printer is a nice all-in-one hp psc 2110. Anyone used this before?

The print quality was nice (well, help me define nice, I had an old Epson Color Stylus 440, its a darn old printer, so everything is crap on the old printer), although copying had the top and bottom edges cut out. Same for the scanning. The scanning isn't as clear as my Canon CanoScan D646U though. But hey, what do you expect for free?

Yeah, I've been wanting a printer for long, just too bad it doesn't support direct printing. My mum doesn't want to use (don't know how to use too) a computer so she wants direct printing. But she got her film camera anyway.

But HP software is crappy.

direct-printing isnt so good.

I, personally, photoshop all my pictures before printing them.
You know, adjust brightness, sharpness, enhance colors, sometimes crop/delete something, etc, so my pictures always come out the way I want them to, not the way I shot the pic :)

I agree. I use Kodak's software before printing any pictures. Mainly because our damn digital camera turns the sky pink on nearly every picture...:angry2:

Not a good deal with the all-in-one printer.

Guess what? I saw a all-in-one printer in staple, the price was $70.

But when I asked how much the ink is, the staple staff said it's like $100+

I hardly ever print anything. Hell most of the pics i take i loose anways :confused2 In the rare case that i do have to print something i hook up my canon s300 to my laptop. Noisier than hell and only works properly in windows (freebsd and linux print to it but its all whited out). I think the last time i printed something was about a year ago and it did do a fairly good job at it. (8x11 photo).

My sister has a xnu i320... but theres a better budget printer from canon now, the i200 or something.

I am running my HP Deskjet 722C, now thats pretty old. One of the first color printers HP made for the home. Works great for me, but I don't print pictures. I take mine to Sams club. It is only 20 cents a pic there for them to print it.

That was my first color printer after my laser died. That was a great printer and I still have it, my dad has it in his room. Afte rthe 722C, I got the 952C which was a hell of a printer and now I'm at the 7150.

I love HP!

my first printer was a deskjet 540. Finally it blew up after many years of usage. It was replaced eventually by a officejet k80.
