Well I'm testing out a forum design, and I'd like opinions on what some of you think about not only the design, but the forums I've included as well. Any input is welcome.

I think maybe you should cut down the number of forums you got there for only 3 registered members.

When visitors goto forums and want to register if they see tons of forums, but nothing active they will leave, its better to start out with a small number of forums than as it grows expand it to more in-depth forums about certain things.

Its alright, just the basic skin you got there.

Thanks for the input.

This forum is only a test bed, once I get enough suggestions, tweak the skin etc (even change it, add mods etc) I will then use that on my final website. I am also going to be (hopefully) starting a new website based off the surgery I had to lose weight, and I might use the same type of layout, or possibly go with IVB or something else.

Anyways, since phpbb does not support subforums out of the box, it does look very crowded doesn't it? I'm going to install a mod that allows subforum creation I think, might make it look less "busy"

Again thanks for the input.

I cant agree more with Polykranopalous. You have way too many forums there, a board with 46 forums might be stretching it don't you think? :smile2:

I wouldn't sign up with a forum which has about 3 members and 46 forums... start off small, perhaps reduce it down to about 6-8 forums and gradually extend on that when you get a bit more visitors. 46 forums with very few members doesn't encourage members to sign up to fill the blank spaces. :smile2:

I don't see the point in having individual forums on different game genres as well as having game-specific forums, will you be adding a new game forum as each new game is released? :smile2:

The more forums you have, the more scrolling the member has to do, and the more difficult it is to find the right forum to post a message in. Anyway, it's just some advise... get some ideas off other game forums. Because 40+ forums seems a bit one too many. :smile2:

I would get rid of the GAMES forums completely. Just make a sticky post in one of the genres for the games.
And for the forums under 'Computer Discussion Forums' I would actually get rid of that and just have a forum callsed COMPUTER DISCUSSION
