Free Image Hosting!amirk999 September 21st, 2003, 18:18 Here is something I made for everyone: http://image.amik.biz hope you guys like it :) darkcurves September 22nd, 2003, 06:58 Originally posted by amirk999 Here is something I made for everyone: http://image.amik.biz hope you guys like it :) Nice one!!! amirk999 September 28th, 2003, 14:34 just an update. I changed it to 1mb for people who like to use bitmaps :) velton September 28th, 2003, 14:35 wow :o xhispage October 1st, 2003, 07:42 YOU ARE THE BEST , ive been looking for this for months amirk999 October 1st, 2003, 18:27 hi guys, I am having a bit of trouble. I want to enable PSD file uploads, but it won't let me. Here is part of the code which makes it allow specific file types: $acceptable_file_types = "image/gif|image/jpeg|image/pjpeg|image/BMP|"; I tried adding: |psd |PSD |image/PSD |image/psd |file/PSD |file/psd none of them worked, so how can I enable PSD file types? Thanks striker October 1st, 2003, 18:37 It is strange that you can't get the .PSD to work. However, I wouldn't worry much as people rarely use .psd and upload it to the web on such a service. Also, I think you should try and delete only unused pics every 5 days as opposed to the whole lot. Just a sugg. though. Lets see if this offer actually stays up unlike the others! amirk999 October 1st, 2003, 18:48 Originally posted by striker It is strange that you can't get the .PSD to work. Just a sugg. though. Lets see if this offer actually stays up unlike the others! at the current rate, only 5mb is used out of a total of 100mb that I allocated to it. Amik is really picking up right now, I got lots of people supporting me and 2 paid clients :D I will try to keep this service up for as long as Amik is up. It is really helping me, so I have no plans to stop this service. Mystic Jason October 1st, 2003, 20:49 Hey, thanks a lot! I couldn't fine an image host that lets me post a high quality picture (a bit over 200kb). THANKS! :D darkcurves October 1st, 2003, 22:56 Originally posted by striker It is strange that you can't get the .PSD to work. Yeah, maybe after 2 weeks, the images are deleted. amirk999 October 1st, 2003, 23:06 ok, I'll change it to this: every image will be deleted at the end of each month. How is that? striker October 1st, 2003, 23:26 if your using only 5mb now, that shouldn't be a prob. A better if you get popular *which you will* idea might be to get a script that will auto-delete images which haven't been accessed for lets say 5-7 days. I say this because if everyone actually used the service seriously, the same people would just come back after every month, reupload their img and leave little space for new users. But it's your server and its still a nice offer either way. darkcurves October 1st, 2003, 23:29 I agree with Striker. Great suggestion. amirk999 October 1st, 2003, 23:37 Originally posted by striker if your using only 5mb now, that shouldn't be a prob. They all made it a way that users have to sginup and then they get a specific amount of space for images. darkcurves October 2nd, 2003, 00:23 So did you buy that script? Not long ago, i searched for this kinda script before, they always are not perfect, features i mean. amirk999 October 2nd, 2003, 08:10 I'm using a free PHP upload script. darkcurves October 2nd, 2003, 08:43 Originally posted by amirk999 I'm using a free PHP upload script. May i know what script are you using? Please PM me. Thanks. xhispage October 2nd, 2003, 10:00 I think you should use this rule on your image host: images not used in one month are auto deleted. not this : after one month all images are deleted. Please , some use it for screenshots ,a and getting an file not found message isnt a nice pic. amirk999 October 2nd, 2003, 10:37 here is where I got it from: http://dave.imarc.net/php/ And I'm not good at programming, so I don't know if a picture has been used or not. Are there any free scripts that allow this? Thanks darkcurves October 2nd, 2003, 10:42 I knew one script which can do that not long ago but it was not free. Forgot where i saw. amirk999 October 3rd, 2003, 17:06 well, I tried this new script that crash is using for his file hosting: http://image.amik.biz/test.php how is it? you guys like it more or less? Now I will be doing that for when you upload your file. It should be fully working in around 10 min. EDIT2: All done :) Try it out and now how is it? xhispage October 5th, 2003, 01:36 It work's great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! amirk999 October 8th, 2003, 22:47 the page gets too long when lots of people upload their images. How can I make it so that I link it to another page that just shows the list of files? It gives me an error when I try to do it that way... | ||||
