Why does UNIX hosting always cost more than NT if the host has both? What makes it more expensive? :confused:

Unix costs less because Unix, unlike NT is free. I don't know what you are talking about. NT may (and I'm not sure about this) also take up more system resources.

Sure unix is free but lot's of people don't know how to set it up and then they are forced to hire professionals who charge huge amounts by the hour.
BTW DR wants money to purchase new equipment. I got that news from the forum. They are doing pretty well right now but the DR guy(mike) wants to play safe for the future, hence the money donation scheme.

Nope i saw this forum => http://www.digitalrice.com/drubb/Forum24/HTML/000003.html
From the forum
We are just trying to raise $2500. Not a whole lot considering the all the money I've put into this. The more money of course the better. It does cost alot of money to keep this internet connection going every month. I don't mind paying it now, but eventually it will start to really dig into my pocket. So any help would be nice.
