Any reviews about this host? Any problems? Scam? I have used them for a short while and their customer service is not the fastest but it is very good nevertheless. I used a tonne of BW on downloads within a week and they didn't give me any trouble at all, they just told me not to go over the limit.
I read reviews on findmyhosting.com and only heard good things. I want to make sure im not falling into a trap though so any help would be appreciated greatly.
Thanks.

The rule of thumb is to always be cautious with a host that offers a large amount of bandwidth at a very low cost. And 50GB for $6.99/mo. is some deal.
While I cannot talk about their service or support, you do get what you paid for in the long run.
Even if they were to go out of business (Not saying they are), you were able to get a good deal out of.
As long as you aren't experiencing problems, I don't see an issue here.
Good Luck!

Although they are good, I went through a lot of suffering to find them. First it was ionhosting.com whom I could not sign up with. Then it was globat.com which gave me tremendous amounts of trouble. In their T.O.S it said you can only use 1/2 of Bandwidth given on downloads and images, so they expect you to use the other 25gb on html pages alone  .
Also, I rushed to sign up on Sept. 23rd with them because that's when the offer was about to end so I didn't get a good chance to observe their rules etc. Next day, they extended their offer to the 26th, now it's "ending" on the 3rd of October. What a dirty trick. And their 24hr support wasn't that great. They just tell you to email this and that person.
And my current host is good, but they take up to 2 days to reply to email, which I will sacrifice for the good price. They also tell me they have been around a while and don't plan on leaving, but who wouldn't?
I can't say I've had a better time with any host than verohost.com yet though, extremely fast and helpful, gave me no hassles. Highly recommended! Replied all my questions within the same hour. No1 else can really say that.

Since you are happy at this moment, I don't see a problem. But should things change, be ready to pack and move. You may want to REALLY pay attention to your bandwidth usage though...

Such corrective action may include the assessment of additional charges, disconnection or discontinuance of any and all Services, or termination of this Agreement, which actions may be taken is in one-hosting.com's sole and absolute discretion. If one-hosting.com takes any corrective action under this section, Customer shall not be entitled to a refund of any fees paid in advance prior to such action.
In the event that a customer exceeds the included allocation, one-hosting.com may, at its sole discretion, collect a deposit, in an amount determined by one-hosting.com, against customer's credit card on file with one-hosting.com.

Yes I reviewed that myself many times and emailed them. They said:
Yes sure video and file downloads are welcome - no file size limits - only your plan limits - 500 MB overall filespace and 50 GB overall traffic/month
I told them directly that I had used tonne of BW and they only said to not go over the limit and gave me access to real-time stats. But once again, I wan't to be sure.

Well, you should at least go with a host with some sort of money back guarentee or Uptime guarentee.
Such as 14 or 30 Day money back, or 99% uptime :)
No risk, unhappy after 2-3 weeks, leave and get your money back.

they have 99%+ uptime guarantee and 30day money back "no questions asked" guarantee as well. But ever since I saw that gisol thread I got suspicious.

I think everyone is doing the right thing, telling you to be careful.
General rule I've found is pretty much as follows:
Take you payment monthly and divide it by how much bandwidth you are alotted.
20 cents per GB and below, expect service to be less then desireable. 50 cents per GB and above is generally a safe bet for good support and good uptime.
Hosts with lower prices get more customers and don't have as much money to hire good support techs. Hosts with higher prices tend to spend more on their servers and staff.
Note: Always research a host before you signup. These are just some numbers I came up with from solid hosting providers that have been around a long time. You can't tell a fly by night host from a solid host by this.
These are just my findings, hope it helps you! :D

Do You have a trend that describes hosts who will bag you for money and shut down your site any chance they get knowing you won't go to court or anything for the money you paid? that would be helpful :D
But really, other than the not-so-fast tech support, these guys are alright! Recommended for their good price.

Well since you asked, these may be some ways to tell..
If your host offers a great deal and wants you to signup right away to get it, like 10 dollars for 100 GB signup by tomorrow.
"Custom" deals over forums that sound too good to be true. Check their website and see if its much lower then their average normal signup.
Do a whois on their domain and see when it was created and last updated. The creation date isn't 100% because people register domains to sell later. If its been updated recently, that *could* mean the host just bought the domain.
Their site design looks like a carbon copy, or a templatemonster.com template. Alot of good hosts use these too, just use it as one of many reasons.
Look for contact information with your host. How do they provide support? Live chat on the website/IRC/forum/IM chat/phone? Some fly by night companies may only provide email/help desk support.
Search Freewebspace.net and Webhostingtalk.com for reviews about the host. If they advertise on either forum, their domain will show up too.
If you ask them a sales question via IM/Email/et cetera, did they respond in well written English or internet shorthand? "are u there?" "if you signup today u will get a gr8t deal"
Just my thoughts. :D
