well, i just got an email from lycos (UK) which going to discontinue their pop3 services on 21st of October 2003
its a sad things . a good, large space free email going to stop their pop3 service. :(

Though there are 10000000 free email providers, i dont think they will give as much space as lycos gives.

free email just use for communication, not for storing. 5m is enough .hotmail.com and mail.com is enough for personal

sometimes, they don't have icq or MSN . that's the point . :D just like why u guys keep asking for a large web space but actually u don use such much . ;)

or large mail box to store many message when they are NOT HOME , DOH!???!!!
do you other idiots expect people to leave their computer on 24/7 or always be online to get files in ICQ/MSN ?

you can always run a small private FTP server :)

are u sure is that all pc user know how to setup a private ftp ? but all user know how to use email ! ;)

G6 FTP (or whatever it is called now, haven't checked in a few years) is really easy. I used it a lot with my friends, faster and more reliable than MSN's transfers.

Doesn't suprise me. Pop3 emails dont stay free without strict limitations.
I think www.hotpop.com still offers it for free tho, for those of you still looking.

I actually have faith in hotpop. They have limitations like 10mb, ads, max. msg size of 500kb, 1,000 per day incoming and 500 outcoming.
