You can simply use a counter from nedstat (http://www.nedstat.com) and hide it like that ... (layers)

<div id=Statistieken style="position:absolute; width:10px; height:10px; z-index:1; visibility:hidden; overflow: auto">
<A href="http://be.nedstat.net/cgi-bin/viewstat name=startbe_all" target=logs><IMG alt=totaal border=0 height=13 src="http://be.nedstat.net/cgi-bin/nedstat.gif?name=startbe_all" width=13></A>
</div>

Thanks but I've tried both of them -- Nedstat is pretty slow and TheCounter has some privacy issues. I'm going with Sitemeter (http://sitemeter.com).

I suggest you to use your own, thecounter.com makes it possible to hide it, but 30% of the time it slows down your site very much.
