View Full Version : Open Question to SI regarding Allclicks TOS

I have been an affiliate of the Allclicks exit program for around 2 months now. I havent generated enough traffic yet (although I sure have tried) to be eligable to a payout, but thats not what this is all about.

When I originally signed up, I read the TOS carefully to see if I could use the program at all(Im from Denmark), and at that time, I could. When I reread the TOS today, I was surprised to find out that all of a sudden Denmark is not allowed in the exit program anymore among alot of other countries. I will post the list here, since others might be affected by this as well:

>>>* *Accounts, webmasters and traffic from the following nations and regions are not allowed, and will not be paid for: All countries currently or formerly known as: Afghanistan Albania Algeria Andorra Angola Armenia Azerbaijan Bahrain Bangladesh Belarus Belgium Belize Benin Bhutan Bolivia Bosnia and Herzegovina Botswana Brunei Bulgaria Burkina Faso Burundi Cambodia Cameroon Central African Republic Chad China Comoros Congo Costa Rica Cote d'Ivoire Croatia Cuba Cyprus CzechRepublic Denmark Djibouti Ecuador Egypt El Salvador Equatorial Guinea Eritrea Estonia Ethiopia French Guyana French Polynesia Gabon Gambia Georgia Ghana Gibraltar Greece Guatemala Guernsey Guinea Guinea-Bissau Guyana Hong Kong Hungary India Indonesia Aceh EastTimor Iran Iraq Israel Italy Ivory Coast (Cote D'Ivoire) Japan Jordan Kazakhstan Kenya Kiribati Korea South Kurdish Turkey Iraq Iran Kuwait Kyrgyzstan Laos Latvia Lebanon Lesotho Liberia Libya Lithuania Macao (China) Madagascar Malawi Malaysia Maldives Mali Mercosur Mexico Micronesia Moldova Mongolia Morocco Mozambique Myanmar Burma Nagorno-Karabakh Artsakh (Azerbaizan) Namibia Nauru Nepal The Netherlands Nicaragua Niger Nigeria Niue North Kore Norway Oman Pakistan Palau Palestinian Paraguay Philippines Poland Qatar Romania Russia Rwanda Sahara Sao Tome and Principe Saudi Arabia Senegal Serbia Montenegro Seychelles Sierra Leone Singapore Slovakia Slovenia Somalia South Korea Sri Lanka Sudan Suriname Swaziland Sweden Syria Taiwan Tajikistan Thailand Tibet Togo Tonga Tunisia Turkey Turkmenistan Turks and Caicos Islands Tuvalu Uganda Ukraine United Arab Emirates Uruguay U.S.S.R. Uzbekistan Vanuatu Vietnam North Vietnam SouthWestern Sahara Yemen Yugoslavia Zaire (Dem. Rep. of Congo) Zambia Zimbabwe<<<

My question to SI is, why didnt you tell me/us, that you changed the TOS? What are the consequences of this to us that signed up before the change? Are we basically b*ttf*cked?

I havent had problems with the Allclicks program, so this is not dirtthrowing, I just want to know how it affects me and everybody else.

Thanks.

i mailed them about this and this is the answer I received:

Subject: Belgium: restricted

Hi

I wanted to sign up for the PopupTraffic program, but my country (Belgium) is restricted? Why? All the other advertisingcompagnies accept Belgian subscribers. I have run through your list and almost half of West-Europe is restricted???

Regards

Dieter

Yeah, but the problem is, I signed up before they excluded Denmark and that's what's bothering me. :(

Thanks... that was very helpfull mastermind.

One thing that I noticed is that Robert doesnt address the issue of telling webmaster from recently banned countries that they are out of the program now. That just seems so unprofessional. Guess I'll just remove the links now.

If you were allowed into the exit program, you will get paid. no one NEW from these countries are being accepted.
As far as people crying about not being told goes, well, it just isn't true. :)

the geekvillage thread is all about people who didn't follow the rules. hong kong, singapore, india, etc. have been on the list for a long long time.

Nightmare angel, did you bother writing an email to ask your question?

Well maybe you're a newbie NightmareAngel, so I'll be nice. It is totally inappropriate to post a complaint about a company before trying the resolve the problem with them. It was nice that you were honest enough to admit it.

I am impressed how so many complaints about SI are of this dubious nature. Typically a URL is posted with the complaint showing a serious violation of the terms. Other times key information is omitted. I know that when you expect money and don't get it there can be an unpleasant sensation leading to the accumulation and release of bile. Please keep in mind that there is often another side to the story.

Also, let me suggest that you be polite and businesslike in your communication with SI. This can only work to your advantage.
