Help! NetWhistle's Billing!

I registered with NetWhistle.com for its free website monitoring service. Now, into my box pops an invoice for a good chunk of money, and they didn't even notify me!! I go to their site (which I haven't even logged onto in months) and they announce that they've started billing.

Did ANYONE else who used NetWhistle's free service receive a notification e-mail?! Did I just not get it?

Netwhistle discontinued its free service a short while ago. A number of us who used it still found its free services continuing, and were wondering when they'd stop providing it or start billing. I guess your question answers our question. Ah well.

I got an email that asked me to go to a URL to delete my account if I didn't want to opt for the paid service.

Their email bill says that if you don't pay, you risk having your service disrupted. So if you don't pay, they'll just cut you off.
