Check out my thread http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/showthread.php?threadid=4555 then make up your own mind, I`d say stay well clear of them, but thats my opinion, I`ve been with many hosts and these are one of the worst ones, their support is...well, none...lol I`ve signed up with http://www.below10host.com/index.php, I had a problem lastnight and emailed them, they got back on 2 emails within 10 mins on each question, they have a nice control panel and they run in real time too, hope this helps. :)

2K...When was this, back in the age of bread & wine, I`m sorry but their support is crap, it felt like a battle to just get an email from them.

I used to be hosted on phpwebhosting...don't use them if you plan on starting a website with even a small amount of controversial information. Their services and support is great, it's just their TOS isn't that clear (or at least it wasn't back in February); they canceled my account when some people on my message board posted information about ISOs. I told them I'd take it off, but they never responded. However, I had a few questions while my account was still active, and their support system was great. Wildcard DNS, CGI info...all responded in less than 48 hours.

I beg to differ. I used to host my domain there for about three days. I contacted their support regarding some issues with PHP and MySQL. I did not receive a response for 2 days. Then, I asked them to delete my account, following the instructions in their TOS. My site was not deleted for a week. Then I had to e-mail them again to get my payment refunded (they give a 30-day money back rebate). Another week later I finally received an email from them, with one line: You have been refunded your payment, or something to that effect. IMO, that is piss poor tech support. A host with good tech support will respond generally within a few hours during business hours, some even do so at odd hours or on weekends. My advice: DON'T use this host.

Been there done that - These should be renamed phpcraphosting. (Got a problem, work it out as we won`t help) ;)
