Hi all,
I've discovered through my server logs that http://maxpages.com/sweetroms/Wallpapers is stealing the wallpapers I created at http://www.djcl.com/pe/back.htm .
Not only are they using my images, they're directly linking to them! :(
Now, how would I go stating my copyright? I believe I have two options:
Contact MaxPages, and ask them to remove the page due to copyright infringement. Although, this may not work as I cannot find their e-mail anywhere! :(
If this dosen't work I was thinking of moving the images and making a highly ad filled 404 page. Although, this would only be a desprate measure. ;)
If anyone has any ideas on where/how/what I'm meant to do... please tell me! :)
Can you use .htaccess files on that server? In that case you could prevent other requests than from your own domain and stop them from bleeding you.
Then you could add one of those hidden copyright things (don't remember what it's called). If they take the file and put it on their server you can prove it's yours. Hoping they aren't already keeping a copy. ;)
Use some anti-leech script.

Yeah, and changing the images to porn is always good...
Or change them to a script which redirects anyone who views their page to your page :)

I would go with changing them to porn. Not just any porn, but the sickest, most awful disgusting porn you can manage to look at.
Some ideas:
Fat people
Dogs
Coke Bottles
P Sex (ewww!)
Just be creative.

Move the images, saves the hassle. Or rename them.
Or make them porn images...

Thanks for all the ideas although I don't really want to be giving Pokemon fans pictures of pornography. I think their might be ethical borders around that one. ;)
So, I guess that means a 404 like clickheretofind.com and renaming the images... thanks all, I'll see how it goes!

lol,
You'd be suprised...
"pokemon sex" & "pokemon hentai"
Were some of the most searched terms in GoTo a while back, all getting in within the Top 30! Bit scary, eh? ;)
