View Full Version : Well thought out yet stupid thought of the day

I was visiting my old school, and I was waiting by my friend's locker to give him a cd.
As I'm waiting, I realised it was a 'casual clothes day', since it was a uniform private school. Little to my surprise, just about every girl was wearing something so revealing they may as well not wear anything, and a miniskirt.
Now, you may be wondering, what's wrong with that? That came to my mind, as it was a pleasant sight to see. However, to my dismay, I found myself completely appalled. No, I'm not gay (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Is it just me, or is Australia, or society in general, turning into a slutty place, pleasured by only revealing some skin?
Why is it that I find this behaviour disgusting, because I liked to see it, but after a few minutes it turned disgusting and something that made me wonder what the world was coming to.
What is happening?
What is causing it?
Why don't I like it :confused2 ?

Well, I know what you mean. Sure, at first it's cool...but when chicks dress slutty, it's f*cking distracting. Especially in high school. You don't know how hard it is to keep focused on the teacher when in your peripheral vision you see 3+ thongs sticking out.
Now I'm in University, and it seems many of the females have learned to dress respectably, which is good. If they don't want to be viewed as objects of sex, don't dress that way.

some of them do want to be seen as sex objects, and that's the problem.

BV hit the nail on the head. This is a problem with our society, though, and not the girls themselves.

yep.. most of them act like lesbians to get guys too..
thing is.. these are my 'friends' that have been dressing like this since like grade 6, and every year it gets worse..
i began to notice more last year, whenever they wore something its always skin tight, and now its skin tight, but barely anything there

I dunno tandoc, but I agree. When everybody starts doing it, it's just nasty. Not fun to look at anymore. Seems odd, but hmm.

However, I haven't gotten to that level, naturally, with your friends....so...got any pics? :biggrin2:

I live in Canberra...maybe its just because Im at a huge public school (though you think that would mean more people wearing that kinda stuff) but I havnt seen any particulary 'revealing'... the guys seem to show more skin..I mean..they dont have the nice inny outy bits women do :classic2: I mean... just sleeveless t shirts, which isnt anything naughty... :P
My general community, or my school at least, seem to consist of many vain people, who care about their looks probably an unnecessarily high amount...like me :confused5

Here nearly all high schools have their own uniforms. Personally, I like 'em better this way - high school girls, I mean. Our current culture is heavily influenced by Japan, and most of the time I'm sickened by it, but this is one of the few things I approve of. Uniforms rule, man. It's like, seeing a whole school of girls wearing cheerleading clothes, only better. I like. XD"

We have a strict dress code, and most people abide by it.
but a lot of girls still dress slutty, but those are known -----s, and most people just do not care, as pretty much everyone has seen what she has got.
In High School i get to see a lot of thongs, sometimes its disgusting, othertimes when its someone you like, its hell yeah baby!

I dont recognize it as a problem on friday nights.
otherwise it's all what your used to. Had you been a student at a public school, nothing would have seemed out of the ordinary.
I'd drop out if I had to wear a v neck sweater and tie to school.

It looks great at first, then it's only disgusting if you cant get what's in those thongs. So it was never disgusting to me :ditsy2:
Those great big fat girls in tight TIGHT stretch pants with their bellies hanging out though.... :cow2::whatthe:
nothing against fat people, but please dont make us suffer like that. Imagine Santa in a bikini

it's not about that you don't want to look at fat girls don't wear anything,
it's that you think it as a way. As in Asia, most countries feel that's corruption or something.
But, in Western, it's just so common around.

i didn't understand what you said?
i'm more concerned about the fact that all the lack of clothing is so common

Large girls with stretch pants are horrible?
I think you have overlooked something far worse.
Large girls in tube tops.
It's just... wrong.

How so?! :confused2 Complaining about gays is like dissaproving of the rain.
[[I see major off-topicness for this thread in the near future...:P]]

no, it's not anything like that. rain is a good thing. without it there would be no ecosystem and everything would die.
on the other hand, the world would get along just fine without gays.

I think it's part of the 'dumbing down' of America that have been going on recently (remember the 90's?) Girls are forgetting that being objectified is bad, and that if they don't act like anything besides a vapid little sack of meat then they will only be treated like one.
These are the same girls who end up having kids or the clap by 20 and being a waitress or a trophy for the rest of their life. Sad really.
And keith, without gays our population problems would be a little worse, don't you think? Personally I would like the thank all of the gay people in India and China for not having any kids because of their predisposotion to sterile, same sex relationships.
