Hey,

I was wondering about some stuff about search engine ranking.

I've heard its better to name your pages as your keywords.

Ex: bob has a website and sells car parts. does bob have to do this:

1) bob.com/parts/ford/engines/12.html
or
2) bob.com/parts/ford/engines/12/
or
3) bob.com/FordEnginesParts/12.html
or
4) bob.com/FordEnginesParts/12/
or
5) bob.com/FordEnginesParts12/
or
6) bob.com/FordEnginesParts12.html

What would be the best combination for bob's website to get higher ranking for google for example?

The best way to get a good top spot on Google: Sponsored Listing. i.e. pay for a top spot. ;-)

As for the question, I've heard the same theory.

#1 sounds more likely, as FORD, ENGINE, PARTS are all going to be snagged by the search.

So a search for FORD PARTS will ping 2 of the 3 words.

Actually, your best bet to answer a question like this is just to email Google.

They answer questions fast and clearly want to list you. :cool2:

Please note that the Google Sponsored Links Program is currently available only for websites conducting a minimum of 5 million searches per month.

They've answered all 5 of mine over the past few months. All replies within 24 hours.

As for the second part, I made a bit of an error; I was refering to this: http://www.google.com/ads/
