a) Is it you? When was your last shower? Is it past 10:00 PM, and you didn't have Power Stripe deodorant? How about your feet...did you recently remove your shoes?
b) Food. Anything in the garbage? Spill some milk or something, and forgot to clean it up?
c) Vomit. Were you dunk last night, and forgot that you used your laundry hamper as a toilet.
d) Urine. Were you dunk last night, and forgot that you used your laundry hamper as a toilet.
e) Vomit/Urine. Was there someone else at your place last night, and they didn't tell you they used your laundry hamper as a toilet.
f) All of the above
Those are my guesses. What do I win if I'm right?

it's probably cat ----.
that stuff always smells bad.

my guess is food. and well, both my roomate and I need to do laundry. I think the smell might be a cournocopia of bad smells blended together. Haven't quite pinpointed the origin yet. More to come...

Still don't know what it is, but we've planned a mass cleaning today. This might solve the funky smell mystery.

sometimes those can be scary.
I ususally find lots of loose change, a few pairs of socks, and at least one thing that smells bad.
last year it was a pumpkin someone had put in my closet. It turned into jelly, and gave off the worst smell imaginable

yuuuck...my room is never like that. Might be a few spoons under my dresser, but that's it.

Damn...I can't imagine how bad that must have smelled.

it was bad. bad enough that I didnt clean it up because when I got within 6 feet of the closet, the old gag reflex kicked in.
luckily the mess was in a cardboard box, so I didnt have to touch it.
haha, which reminds me, remember when is0lized cleaned his keyboard and told us what he found?

Sadly, yes. Lots of pubic hair. But hair of all colours, which is the disturbing part...
Good luck with the clean.

God, I wish I didn't have to remember that. Thanks Gayo.

Yikes! Anyway, have fun with the mass cleaning! The result is often rewarding. You will have a room cleaned of rubbish. :applaudin

But i have to warn you, the rubbish will be back!!!

Well, that's up to him. If he were to discipline himself, put all rubbish to the bin and not everywhere, he won't have to do these mass cleaning often.

I dunno, if you're like me it's a habit to throw things on the floor once I enter my room...anything. It's a hard one to break. Luckily we have bible study once a week so my room is generally in a state of partial messiness, not total wreck as it used to be.

Haha, same here too. I am also lazy to vacuum the my 'carpeted' room.

I can't believe this thread has gone on this long and I love it. Anywho, we Febrezed the ---- out of the room, and it's starting to get cleaner, but it definitely won't last. By Christmas break I'll be living in a swamp again.

Does that mean you still don't know what made the smell?

you'd be correct. But, at least for the time being, the smell is gone anyway. I don't know if Febreze wears off.

Blank,
I have some words of warning for you -- don't get carried away with Febreeze.
Apparently, it's addictive and habit forming.
I have a friend off at school who does not shower more than once or twice a month. He just keeps febreezing himself until he starts glowing like toxic waste... Then he showers.
Sad part is, I'm not kidding... well maybe the glowing part, but anyway.

OOoo...hehe...fabreeze...heh...:biggrin2:
Only joking but yeah I can see that it can be habit forming...I mean, it certainly looks like it from the commercials! ;)

at least febreeze commercials aren't quite as gay as swiffer commercials
I'm never going to use a swiffer. ever.
febreeze works wonders on stinky stuff. I guess I dont use it enough to be addicted.

The worst thing about swiffer is...you throw it out. Not that I'm a hardcore environmentalist, but it just seems so stupid to buy little cloths (that come in a box...), use them once, then throw them out, and go buy more. Just buy a friggin broom...

Source of all the disgust in my room would be me, staying up late, drinking a lot of caffeine, going to sleep, and waking up.
That is when you will notice the smell of a true geek rotting away slowly in his room =)

My workstation smells like cheetos, coffee, cola, subway sandwiches, tobacco, and warm electronics.

It's not like I'm using Febreze on myself. It does work really well, but I've barely used any of it, so I think I'm ok.

They have stupid commercials for Febreze here in Malaysia. I tried it once, it didn;t work.

You must have crappy fabreeze :classic2: Always works for me.
Fabreeze is a spray thing that you usually spray on your furniture to hide nasty smells. It smells kind of like laundry detergent on crack.

It works really well. Two days later and I can't smell the smell that inspired this thread. Thanks Febreze! :applaudin
