Hiya,
Recently, i have noticed some scheme for us to register as a member of sites that will send us emails or surveys daily to our email accounts.
If we read it or answer the surveys, we will be awarded a certain amount of money. If the accumulated money reaches a certain amount, we will be able to request them to send the money to us.
So, the thing i want to ask is that whether anyone have tried doing these and _REALLY_ got money from them?
Any catches or any risks in this?
Thank you and have a nice day.

Your on about get paid to read email programs (GPF programs).
Joining them is no risk to you what so ever. I had joined a few about a year back, but have not been paid yet as I have not really bothered with them. This is because some of them flood you with emails after emails which only pay $0.0025 - $0.01 per link clicked through from each email.
I must admit, things have improved over the last few months as there are now some that has a low minimum payout. But then they are most likely to be the ones that pay under 1c per link clicked in an email.
To be honest, I would not bother with them or less you can gain lots of referrals that can actually earn the money for you.
The best programs that I find at the momment and where I make most of my money are ppc search engines, and pay per lead affiliate programs.
Most of them you will need a site to take part, but some of them you can earn by just referring new affiliates to the ppc search engines which means that you don't really need a site for that.

Hmm...thanks for the heads up, John. :applaudin
As i see you advertising a site that contains lots of PPC service, i guess you must be pretty experienced in it. :)
So, in your opinion, which should i sign up with? There are sooo many! May i know where to start?
Any things i need to be aware of? Thanks a lot!

I won't exactly say which ppc search engine to join as different ones work in different ways with different people. But I will give you a bit of advice.
The following are some of the things that I look for in a ppc search engine affiliate program.
:ditsy2: PPC Search Engines that pay with no min or with a low minimum payout like $5.
:ditsy2: PPC Search Engines that either pay straight away or pays within a month.
:ditsy2: PPC Search Engines that has an Alexa ranking of 0 - 150,000 (this is not very important as people can cheat to get their site ranked higher).
:ditsy2: Make sure that the ppc search engine has a number of ways for linking to them. For example, if you want to use their xml feed then make sure they offer that before signing up.
:ditsy2: It's normally best to do a few searches on each ppc search engine before signing up so that you can see if they offer a lot of results. The more bidded results they show the better they are likely to be.
:ditsy2: You may want to choose a ppc search engine that pays about 80% of the bidded clickthru, but always check to see how much their average bidded listings are on their site first. This is because there's no point in joining a ppc search engine affiliate program that pays 80% of the bidded clickthru's if their highest bid is only 2c. You might as wells go for a ppc search engine that pays it's affiliates 50% of the bidded clickthru's and has bids that range from 5c - 10c as in the long run you will earn more from that than the ppc search engine that pays 80%.
:ditsy2: Check to see how payments are made by any ppc search engine that your interested in before actually joining. It's normally best to choose on that has many options of payment and possibly uses paypal so you can receive your payments quicker.
I hope that the above advice will help you and may help others.
Thanks!

Hm. "Get Paid To..." sites were big couple years back and there are still some today that are doing okay. A site I recommend for reviews and information about is http://getpaidtobeonline.net. It has information for webmasters who seek revenue also.

It does not matter what I read about Get Paid For Programs, I will always think that they are not worth the bother unless you get something like a minimum of 10c per email read with a low minimum payout.
I joined loads of Get Paid For Programs when I first found out about them and I started to receive email apon email which was a waste of time to read.
The emails where paying only $.0025 - $.01 per email read.
I think they are just a waste of time and they just fill up your email account!

There IS a working program, as long as you're in Australia. :cool2:
Go to Email Cash (http://www.emailcash.com.au/) to see what it's about.
If you sign up from that link, and earn more than 400 points, then I get 200 bonus points :-)
The deals are good. You get some emails that are 5cents to read, (minimum 5cents on all emails) but most of the money is in the surveys. I recently got $6 for a longish survey, it took me half an hour, but I was doing other stuff on the net inbetween anyway.
Sign up, it's really good.
Oh, 100 points is roughly $1. It varies between about $0.95 and $1.10.
I've racked up $20 AU in a few months.
