Just wondering if anyone knows of a place that offers plain jane DOMAIN hosting without ads. I'm not looking for anything big or fance, i've tried the power search, but haven't found anything that does the domain hosting.

I've checked that place out, they only allow people in the UK, otherwise, everything checks out...Anyone know of something like that in US/CA?

That is not so. Maybe that's the case for some other service they offer? They don't mind where you live. I *think* they also accept most TLDs. :)

I saw this one site http://www.spaceports.com it might just work for you. Says it unlimited server space. And no wise cracks about "If you find a hard drive with unlimited space then I'll buy it" :) I don't know if they are good or bad. The only thing I think is weird is that the site does not look professionally done. Well I guess it dont matter

Spaceports is highly reliable and you can put 1GB on the internet if you have a good reason to but that still is not unlimited :). They been around for ages and are quite good.

Hey Ryan_man....It's a big difference. You wanted something like 4GIG and no annoying ads. Portland allows 100 or 150MB transfer and Spaceports has highly annoying ads.
People weren't PO'd because you asked, but because you kept asking and got mad when you didn't get what you wanted. You are wrong if you think people hold out on the good stuff. I think it's the other way around - everyone wants to share if they have found a good place.
Forget what happened and start over. :)

IT seems no matter what I ask for, it doesn't exsist. Then when i'm not looking for a free host, I find one..... That I was looking for. Except this time I havn't been on the puter much. Lexton.net said I'd probally get a free page, but he lied. BIG TIME. I can say one thing, my new mission is to "de-promote" lexton.net. He is a loser...

Hmm. Mabey you people dont understand. FREE HOSTS COME poping up every day. How the HELL am I suppose to know if there's a host I missed? You see, you guys are really big morons when it comes to understanding these things. It's not like as if im asking everyday. I ask about every month to see if there are any new hosts like this. Morons lol.

Free Hosts go down everyday as well. Hosts that offer what you want will NOT stay up for long, I can guaruntee that.

:mad: It's you that don't see. If some one discovered a new host with those features you would see a thread about it at the top of the board as bigperm said.
Divide your site between several hosts or go to http://www.discounthosting.com and pay $10. But stop whining and being rude, will you?

I'm in the USA and I had a domain hosted there for about a year.

Hmmm, portland's ftp seems to be really bad. I signed up, and still haven't been able to get in. Anyone know of any other sites that offer domain hosting without a banner?
