it's 20 after 8 in the morning. I have been up since 12:30 yesterday afternoon. Yes, we're talking roughly 20 hours here. In 40 minutes, I will be writing a philosophy final on no sleep. And I'm going to ace it. You heard me right, -----, ace it. Then after that, I'm going to bed, and I'm not getting up until next week.

I don't know why I write this, but I suspect my old friend sleep deprevation may have something to do with it. But in any case, I've said it and there's nothing you can do about it. :p

yeah, I'm done now. Wish me luck.

A week without water? If you do make it... well, then you made it, and you'll get to give yourself a pat on the back. If you don't...... let's hope we won't one day realize you've suddenly stop posting here. :D

I'm on hour 29 right now. I'm kind of forcing myself to stay awake so I can go to bed at a normal time, so I don't ---- up my sleeping patterns too much.

I can't do that. I'd like to try to, but I don't think I could. Perhaps over christmas eve...no need to be awake on christmas day. I'm hoping 18WoS:AA and Restaurant Empire will help me...maybe The Sims...

Final count was 39 hours. I thought going for 40, would be intriguing, you know, a nice round number. But I knew that if I made it that far, I'd probably end up shooting for 48, and I didn't want that.

Good job. I've only gone overnight I think once. Not on purpose, either. It was many years ago when I was in cubs (ie, younger than a scout). We had a sleepover at a museum, and for some reason I just couldn't sleep...but I still wasn't tired the next morning, because I was just lying there...so my body was still rested. Since then, I think I've managed to catch a couple hours of sleep everyday between say 10 PM and 10 AM the next day. Just thought you'd all like to know.

Try going 39 hours without food. I did the 30 hour famine once...it was pretty stupid. It's not like I was really starving...I was just weak, and wanted to taste something other than water. I'd much rather not sleep than not eat.

Don't they let you have like a granola bar every x hours or something? If you sleep most of the 30 hours you won't notice you're hungry...;)

I've done involuntary 30 hour famines (ie. being sick)

actually, now that I think about it, when I was in the hospital last year, I didn't physically eat anything for 3 weeks. They wouldn't let me. I was on a strict diet of lipids and proteins being fed to me through an IV. I lost 15 pounds that way. I remember when I was finally able to eat again, my jaw hurt trying to chew food. And it was scrambled eggs!
