anyone else having problems with ftp-ing to them?

No problems here. Its faster than usually too; I usually have problems with them during the weekend

The FTP is fine here also. It depends on the server. Which server are you on? Server 32 and over are supposedly worse if I remember correctly.

Well, My FTP screwed up on Friday when I wast trying to connect to F2S, but it works now. I usually have connection problems around the weekends as well...

yeah, I'm on a new server and the ftp sucks big time... not easy to transfer files at all

You could split such files into smaller pieces. Then glue them on the server with a simple php/pl script.

I uploaded a one meg file without difficulties, and I believe that one meg file is still there. I renamed the extension of the huge file to .css though ;)

I think F2S' traffic is a constant sum. One part – for their paid services, the other - a remainder for the free servers.
So during a weekend the free traffic is limited.
The best transmission according this can be during night GMTime.

Don't know if you are right, but now it's about 1am UTC and I had no problems to upload files, while I had problems in the afternoon.
