I really like http://www.WHOIS.net - it's great for searching for similar names, domains with a certain word in them or that start with a certain phrase, etc

http://www.internic.ca is good & fast for .com/.net/.org and .ca (canada) names - & don't have to type in the extension - it will search on all.
