Well..the music quality isnt really terrible, but if Im listening to a song with a voice (someone singing) you can barely hear the voice, whether Im using earphones or not. No matter what song it is. Its different if Im listening to it from my MP3 player (I often have to transfer thing from the PC to it just to hear them properly  ), its fine then.

Any advice? Are all computers like that? (PS. It doesnt seem to matter what player im listening to it from either)

Well, whats the bitrate of the song? What kind of speakers/phones do you have? What kind of wire?

I get better results using winamp's (always on "full bass & treble") and my receiver's at the same time.

The sound is alot nicer

Do you have a switch/button on there called "3D"? This happened at my dad's office, and I switched "3D" off on the speakers and it fixed it right up.

Weird,
It's supposed to be the reverse as 3d enables more tweeters, thus high pitch sounds come ont nicer

All it did on my dad's speakers is lower to the voice to the point where I could barely hear it.

Seems like either EQ setting on the computer or the sound card is crap.

I don't think it's the speakers, as he/she their the same with earphones.

Try borrowing a friends sound card or use a different music player.
