For anyone thats interested this is my current phone (http://www.zfone.com/images/phones/sagem_my_c2.jpg) the Sagem MY C-2.

Quite a leap if I do end up buying the motorola video phone.

I'm not familiar with any of those phones you guys have across the pond. Never seen anythig like that in my life before.

The features seem a little over-board though... I mean, I'm using a 3-year old Nokia that doesn't even have a color screen, but it still works for what I want to do.

I guess it just depends on what you want to do with it.

I miss european phones :(

If you want all-in-one desin, then sonyericsson has the p800 and p900. There's the Z600 too.

Smaller and less feature packed, the kyocera slider is interesting too.

What he said.

You could get a kyocera flip-top Palm/Phone :classic2: Dad has one of those, works great. It has most of the features of the one you listed.

Don't get Nokia. Their quality is going down the drain. I just got a 3200 recently and the cover is rattling and loose... But will you get used to a touchscreen and stuff? BTW get a 3g phone.
