...when it's 41 degress below zero.
Brrrrrr... my legs are still numb. I know I said I wanted cold, but this is pushing it a bit.
Anyone got some extra heat?

Yeah, at about 3:00PM EST (20:00 GMT/UTC) it was positively balmy... 32°F (0° C) with a windchill of merely 27° (-2.77° C)
The lows lately have been in the single digits (around -13.88° C), all this damn polar air. Luckily it's moving out east. Northern Canada can keep all this cold air, I don't want it. Keep it around 30° (-1.11° C) all winter, that'll be fine with me.
My bedroom, near the window, is a tropical 64° (17.77° C) and it's usually warmer. I keep my door closed most of the time, so my room is normally the warmest room in the house :classic2:

I didn't know that was possible even with windchill.

So it's actually warmed up a bit, believe it or not. The dew point is still 35 below zero though, so it's bone dry out there.
And NotNamed... I'd be happy with 0° even... it's just a wee bit too nippy out there, even for me.

Well, come here in Canada, Montreal.
Yesterday night and today it was -25 degrees celsius, without the wind and humidity. With windchill it might have been -35 degrees.
When you go out, you can't breathe for a few seconds due to the cold.
In '98 there was this morning when it was -46 degrees, and I was waiting the bus to go to school. Bus, which came an hour late.

it's all warm now though.

You know its cold outside when you open your car door, get in the car, then slam the door shut only for it to not shut at all. God damn piece of ---- probe. Its very hard to hold the door, steer, and shift while having a beverage in your hand at the same time.
The coldest it ever got here (PA) was -23F, and that was a few years ago. Right now its about 10F.

You do know that those are made for girls, right?
anywho, yeah, I'm in Ottawa right now, where it's minus 10 or so, probably -30 with windchill, but the sun is out, and it's alright. I'm from Calgary, so this is nothing. Notnamed, I love how you find -2 to be cold :p. Wojtek, where do you go snowboarding? There's a place near here called M.t Tremblant or something, and I've never been. Have you? Any good?

It probably wouldn't have bothered me too much if I wasn't wearing shorts.
The only thing that's starting to annoy me is the wind... and the fact that it's not supposed to get any warmer in the next two weeks.

Yeah, '3 quarter pants' are called 'Capris' and are very popular :classic2: Weirdo.
I find -2 cold, because it's not supposed to get down to -2. I live in the great lakes region, not canada, and always have, so -2 is cold. Just like to Jan -2 is cold. Because I'm used to warmer. And yeah.

Last Sunday was nice, it was 74F :D.
Now it's 20F here and we finally had some snow :(.
I wanted to put our boat in and go swimming in the river at night, but the temperature dropping 54 degrees really screwed that one up.
This sucks.

Wow...that's really messed up. How fast did it drop? I mean, just one day or did it (semi-)slowly drop all week?
Nick

Sunday it was around 74F.
Cargo shorts and sleeveless shirt :).
The next day it dropped to around 40F.
Jeans and a tshirt with a light jacket :(.
By Wednesday it was 32F.
Jeans, long sleeve tshirt and my leather jacket :(:(.
Friday it was 20F.
Jeans, long sleeve shirt, sweater, leather jacket .
Last night it was so nice out with the moon and clear sky. Would have been awesome to take the boat out. Except for the below freezing temperatures and everything :p.
Supposed to be around 10F this weekend.
With the 74F, I was all ready for an early spring and everything.
Guess the wait is going to be longer :angry2:.

The name escapes me at present, but maybe it is an Aussie invention? I know they are worn by males and females here :)
