They now only pay 25/CPM it used to be more if you served over a certain amount of ads.

***Amazing Media pays the above CPM rate for delivering rich-media ads. When only a GIF ad can be served, due to browser limitation or code limitation, no payment will be made.***

Does that mean we don't get paid when only a gif ad can be served? Most all ads are gifs I only see a few flash ones on the net.

Welcome to the forum ChrisY :)

That's bizarre, but perhaps not surprising to most of the members of this board, who have already experienced one rate change when AmazingMedia halved their rates across the board earlier this year.

Under the new payment plan, you'll probably see only about $0.15-$0.20 Net CPM, once promotional impressions and makegoods are deducted. Plus, the $0.00 payment for non-rich-media ads means that the network can no longer be used to serve defaults for Burst, FocusIN or Engage - all of which support only simple-media defaults.

What is rich-media ads? What are all gif ads called then............I thought rich media ads where like flash ads.

I still see them serveing ads from other ad networks? I don't understand what you mean by the network can no longer be used to serve defaults.

i think what AM means here is if a user doesn't have javascript (or has it turned off) you won't get paid, else you'll get paid the meager $.25 (before promotional and makegood).

Basically what it means is that it's almost worse than contentzone

okay i see now thanks but i think I'm getting more than 25 CPM today i have 211,000 impressions and AM says that is worth $100 bucks .25 x 211,000 is only $52.75

By my math i'm getting around 47 cent per CPM

211,000 X .47 comes to $99.17

I suppose that's a good rate so that leads me to my other question why do they say they pay a flat rate of .25 CPM if i'm getting more than that unless my math is incorrect what am i missing here? :)

the old rate was the more imps the better pay. You'd get more if you had 25000+, even more if you'd have 100,000+,...

I started with Amazing Media last December when they were claiming about $1 CPM. Then they retroactively cut that in half to about 50 cents.

Then, they started running ads for casinos (very porn-like trashy ads), and claimed there was no way for me to opt out. Ha. I chopped their code out of my pages and put ValueClick back.

So now, AM has cut their rates in half again? It sounds like dropping them was the right decision.
