I am looking for a solid host, 100M would be plenty, and would allow me to setup usernames and passwords for FTP access so that our company can share information with our customers. Any ideas?

Please post your e-mail address here in order to let hosts send you deals.
As for what you need, look for hosts who use RaQs. You should be able to do those things with the RaQ control panel.

Servus has a good reputation, but you might wanna check out the offers forum @ webhostingtalk. Tera-byte is a great choice also very fast and great customer support.
A Webhost with Cobalt raq's will be the easiest for what you need. I suggest Servus or tera-byte.

I'm probably going to get blasted for this but it is my feeling that Tera-Byte has grown too fast and their service is not what it used to be. (Do we ever hear from Steve anymore?) I don't know Donovan or Servus but I have read good things and I'd lean towards them. You would be dealing a lot closer to the main guy and their support would probably be more responsive and user friendly.

steve hangs out more at webhostingtalk than here.
But although they have grown they still treat you the same ... take the same amount of time to fix your problems. They even made my phone call to cobalt the other day to get them to fix a database which is out of there limits when providing support.

Servus are good, great support and I have had no downtime (that I have noticed) so far.

Well, even tera-byte has grown very fast, and steve seldom come the forum, but they still provide great support to all their clients.
You can ask questions in their IRC channel all the time. And you can expect an instant reply from them there.
By the way, graddage, did you register your domain ?

Has anybody used these before? How is their support? How long does it take them to change a DNS setting? I have heard that choosing a domain name registra is as important as choosing a host, and as I seem to have got a good host :) i don't want to mess it all up now :)

I use Netweaver .. The support is good .. dns changes are instant with .co.uk domains with them via the control panel. Of course it takes 24 hours for them to be visiable but once you hit done it emails the changes to nominets database.
I got http://www.ft3.co.uk through netweaver and a few other domains. NetWeavers hosting is good also.

I think http://www.below10host.com would be your best choice... it has some of the fastest servers I have ever used out of a dozen hosts.
