I just got my new speakers!!!!

Logitech Z5300 :P

I got a problem with my rear speakers tho.

They only work when I have Matrix enabled on the remote
Matrix: create a full surround sound experience from stereo sources like music cd's or games without 5.1 soundtracks.

So this is just an 'emulator' right?
To get true 5.1 I'd need for example a 5.1 lord of the rings dvd or some other 'designed for 5.1' content?

Thanks

Correct.

MP3s and CDs are only stereo, meaning 2 speakers. If you want actual surround-sound, you'll need a DVD.

It's still only 2 channels though, just coming out of all of your speakers.

A surround decoder on normal music will give front, center and rear with all different channels.

Can I get that standalone?
