cursing the cursor

Can you give me a hint on how to change the cursor a program uses? I have a couple of browsers that use the Netscape hand which gives me pimples. I want them to use the slimmer IE hand instead. Someone has an instructive URL or something? :confused:

I wouldn't use CometCursor, it's loaded up with spyware.

Nononono! You misunderstand me. Not on a web site. I want to make my own copies of the programs to use another cursor for ever.
I know it should be as easy as changing icon (almost) but I can't find a good link now that I need it.
