Only 13 Years Old? Is everyone 13 Years Old on the staff?
How could we trust this "service"?
I can do the same, and my Host is VDI Internet... which most of you can trust with fine speed. I also am opening up a business... so sign up with my service instead, it may be only 3mb intially but I can allow you to have more based on your site.
BTW, I am 16, turning 17 in about a month and half.

now I don’t want to be mean
there’s enough people out their that do that
but your website looks ....empty
you only have nine pages, each page averages ten words and your whole disclaimer was done in one line
I suggest that do a lot more work on your own site before you encourage people to put there pages on yours. People usually don’t read the stuff but it reassures them just to see all of the words side by side.
heh heh heh... side by side....
well... that’s just my opinion :)
i'm shooting for computer engineering, and i saw your site ours is more professional and can be trusted for a bunch of kids. were serious
haha i know, its been empty for a while, but were trying to fill it. its hard juggling a site while having school and sports and stuff. all were trying to do is become succesful business, and we just decided to start
Giancarlo
May 12th, 2001, 22:24
Is that a joke? I think my ulcer is acting up again... did you say: Your site was more professional than ours? You must be kidding, my site actually had work put into it. I don't use Flash for respect of Dialup Internet Users. My Site is much more professional then yours...
actually i want to correct myself, my main focus is not business, its developing my skills. so i joined russoweb to touch up on my skills not to become rich. i'm not gonna become rich from this and i know that. i'm just trying to spread the word for russoweb. and i know that everyone wants free web hosting with unlimited space. so if you want a big flash posted or your site with a million of pictures all you gotta do is give them to me. i gurantee they'll be posted as long as the comply to our standards. haha if anyone understood that than good.

The Intro Site on mine will become automatic and load up to the GC Directory Automatically when I have the time to work on it... I hate flash because it takes forever for most of my average users, cruddy program.

Only 16, no wonder you are such an enthusiastic Republican. It's sad really, that you rate a party by economics alone. And of course capitalism works so well in the USA. Maybe it's because US companies have so many sweatshops in third world countries. But of course productive Americans are the ones who make the most money. Because pushing papers is so bloody productive. Capitalism is a system based on money. Money isn't real. It's an idea. Paper money is backed up by gold. Gold is worth something because people think it is. As an element, it doesn't break down easily (i.e. it lasts a long time).
If it wasn't for people like you, who can't find a balance between personal prosperity and prosperity of the species, anarchy would work.

Russoweb, you're going to need a lot of time to run your services. I'm 15, I started a hosting company when I was 13, so just trust me on this one. You will need a lot of time, and school reduces that time by a lot. I'm in school 7 hours per day (plus occasional detention) plus I have a social life. It's a bit cramped to have these plus run a business, so be prepared to make a few sacrifices. I don't really watch TV much any more or do other things as much as I used to because being in school, there isn't time.

How the heck can a 13 year old setup webhsoting? I mean, you would need a server, the cheapest is 299$/month + your domain (only 10$ or something). How do you pay that?????
Lynks
May 13th, 2001, 04:52
4webspace.com has dedicated servers for $99 per month
Look, I'm sorry, kid, but this isn't what anybody would call "the perfect host". Maybe you should've picked some other term.
Oh, and happy mother's day to you too. :p

Zero, what the hell are you saying? Those Democrats want to screw with this nation. Now don't talk about this, because obviously I am wiser choosing the political party, and to look at there isn't much difference between the Democratic and Republican Parties, they both are near the center. And your definiton of captialism is all wrong...
Now back to Russoweb, I honestly am wondering where the money came from to run such a service... time is needed to run business as NC_TOM said, how do I know? I am working on a business to sell handicrafts but whatever business it may be it always requires time, even if it does offer free webservices.
[Edited by Giancarlo on 05-13-2001 at 09:07 AM]
ok maybe not the perfect host yet, but hopefully it will be. yeah tom i got a social life too, try juggling school (6-3) Lacrosse (3-6) Basketball (7-9) a girl friend and a web hosting company. i get 2 hours on the computer a day, an hour of which is spent on aol. so this is more a hobby for me, as i said, touching up on my skills. but the reason i got into this was because i wanted free webspace, so if you guys want your site hosted, just send me an email.

If you're trying to do all that, then I'm afraid you'll either piss your girlfriend off, have a nervous breakdown, or just not be able to run the service. You need more time than that.
Also, A dedicated server is not the way to go if you know how to configure it, or if you have a programmer to help you out. Go with co-location if you're serious about this. That means spending $1000 on a decent server and hosting it in someone's office. Over long term that will save you money since you aren't using their hardware. If you're just developing your skills, this might not be the right industry to do that in. Your customers are all going to want super-reliable hosting from someone who knows how to do everything in the industry. Since you are still learning, sooner or later you WILL make mistakes and have a lot of angry customers. Just trust me, I've been there a few times.

The Design is ugly... and the service has been down ever since it was started. There is no FTP, or even Browser Upload. Each page has about three and half words on it and the flash is poor in quality. There has been four or five threads posted already on this subject.

what work did you put into it? All you did was change the background color from a stolen template (http://www.freewebtemplates.com/templates/users/user8/index.html). You even kept the CSS styles and everything. The thing that really pisses me off is that YOU take the credit and even take the copyright for it. Trying to pass something stolen off as your's is wrong, and you should know that.

Wrong pal, if you haven't been to my site lately, you wouldn't of noticed the changes that have been going on. I changed the background, changed the scripts, and changed the highlight color. And by the way, this site design with several tables is used by many sites. I did put work into this one, and take a look at the rest of the site you fool!
I take credit for my entire site by the way, the Multimedia Section, the Excellent SimCity 3000 Section and everything else was done by myself. It looks better than the Mainpage. Now let me see your stinking site for a change?

First of all, I never even claimed to have chosen a political party. Most political parties now are too much about making money for the individual politicians anyway. Both of the "mainstream" parties are far to corrupt. Don't even bother talking about how great the Republican party in the US is, you don't even live here. You don't have to deal with a President who throws ten years worth of research about the safety of drinking water away because it will "cost too much". (Refering to the increase in the maximum allowed PPB of arsnic in drinking water from 10PPB to 50PPB).
"When are people going to learn? Democracy doesn't work."
A transitional monarchy would work... considering most people are too stupid to know what's good for them and are unable to see the value of altruism.
</rant>
In reference to Russoweb, how hard is it to go find an upload script? Having someone e-mail you all their stuff is ok when you are hosting small sites for freinds, but you are just going to piss a lot of people off when you finally implement all the stuff you have been promising and people finally start wanting to join. People don't want to wait till you have the freetime to upload their site, and some people have to update his/her site every day.

Give Business a break kid, because if we continue with this pro-environment crap then this economy and country will really take a hammering. I have lived in the United States for nine years, and my Dad is a UNITED STATES FOREIGN SERVICE OFFICER or a Diplomat who is just below the Ambassdor in maintaining political ties with Argentina.
I will be back in the states in two years, and when I do I will vote Republican of course. There is little corruption in the Republican party for that fact, and there is a ton of corruption in the Democratic and Smaller Center-Left Wing Parties out there. Democracy does work, the Monarchial System is pretty much dead.

look at your posts!!!
I had so much fun reading them. hahaha!!! sorry, couldn't hold it. How can you, kids run a normal hosting company if you can't even make a decent webdesign for website. Do you want to heat the truth? Your both websites sux!!! You don't even use normal scripts there... Ops sorry. You don't have scripts there at all!!! That's funny. Hosting company can't run simple scripts... "Send files on email" Is it a joke?
And what is this thing about your dad? who cares about your dad? Is he related to hosting? I don;t think so. Anyways even if he is embassador it didnt help you to build a normal website. You need brains for that... not rich dad...
Well, good luck to you... and sorry for those people who will use your hosting.

Are you ****ing kidding? Pardon my French. This site is not based on Free Webhosting, I am not even trying to have a hosting site... I have the browser upload script, but am not going to bother installing it for one reason: I Don't want fools like you overloading my server. My Site is excellent compared to yours.
Anyways, I am uploading a Credit Card/Shopping Cart Script that is in the Server... and the service I currently use does have a Fully Functional CGI-BIN/SSH Scripting, so I know how to do scripting myself. I am starting a Business as I have repeatably said, my site infact does not have any to do with hosting, it has to do with the following: The National Opinion, which I am expanding now; SimCity, Multimedia Stuff, and Free Graphics.
Ooh, Ultraforum... damn, how many times have this idea been used? Your site sucks like crap, and I don't care if you can work a simple post/delete function.

Pardon my bad English, but safety of drinking water my ---! We've had 50PPB for over 60 years now, and everyone says water is GOOD for you. Plus, Der Shleekmiester (Bill Clinton) signed that order 3 days before he left.
Plus, the thing doesn't take effect until 2006 anyhow! 10 years of research by looneybin groups like Greenpeace is worth about 10 minutes of any sane person's thinking.

Hell, if we're gonna get screwed over, might as well be by the government.
were just beginning, we're gonna be a normal hosting company with ftp and browser uploads, but i had unlimited access to a server with huge space and i was trying to be nice and host some stuff. i don't care if you dis our page, we've barley even started working on it. i bet when you were my age you didn't even know html! so just give our site time, and you'll see we can be successful. i'm just trying to get you guys free hosting! If you wanna wait a couple months and than come back and ftp yourself feel free. but i'm just offering unlimited space to anyone that wants it. so if you want unlimited space, just drop me an email. soon enough the site will be an up and running professional site, were just putting it roughly together. i'd never give up on business, i don't care what kind of business it is i'm determined to stay busy in some web thing. lol i just wanted to open up a possibity
and by the way i have no clue how you guys got into politics
i just changed the layout of the page quickly. when you act now you can get a free file to be downloaded anywhere. if you want to see the speed click here, http://www.russoweb.com/eve.mp3 and you can download this song

Any service has the right to exist I mean lawful one. If B_T has enough money, he can allow himself to learn the hosting business as he does. It is also possible that some will use the service, why not. Not too many of course.
Though it is more respectable to offer for the market better services. Ordinary it is enough to learn web programming with local server without an Internet connection.

What the hell does having bad taste in clothing have to do with having money? And maybe he doesn't waste his money going out to buy whatever the computer industry is telling him he needs. If all he does is design websites, surf the net, and write papers, he doesn't need anything more than 550MHz. Typically, there are two types consumers: Those who buy the newest thing just because it's new (early adopters), and those who buy things as he needs them.
And really, lets just stop all the arguing about politics. Like religion, no one is going to agree 100% with anyone else, and just saying "this party does this" or "this party thinks this way" without actually backing it up with any facts isn't going to win any arguements or change anyone's mind. Political parties, the government in general, and capitalism makes me sick.
If only more people would read Civil Disobedience.

Didn't notice your webgraphics section and games... So you think your site unique if you call mine "sucks crap". And what didn't you like about that? This website is just for friends postings and for those who has questions to me. And my scripts I use only when I get paid to make a website.
And on your site I don't see any design... Just a stolen front page template...
And why are you telling that I would trash your webspace? Oh man I would trash all these 3 megs that you are giving for hosting. Funny, my little friend.
Well, good luck with your Multimedia/SimCity/FreeGraphics (not just hosting) website! (Hope I said about everything there?)

P.S. Don;t get a heart attack proving that your site is the best. lol

None of them are stolen, all I did was take three black tables similar to that of one template I was looking over. The Webgraphics section is over two years old and is not updated anymore... nor does it need to be.
