A week ago I was surfing the internet and came across a hosting company called, 'Triedia'. As soon as I saw there plan, I ordered it. They offer UNLIMITED SPACE/BANDWIDTH/EMAIL ACCOUNTS/FTP ACCOUNTS/SUBDOMAINS/ETC..
at $15.00 a month.
check it out at: http://www.triedia.com

Your host is pathetic compared to this Triedia. When they say UNLIMITED, they mean unlimited. And it's not self-advertising because I'm having my site hosted by them: http://www.cyberclickz.com
anyway, don't hate them because they got a way better package.

Maybe the unlimited everything explains it being down.

And maybe the downtime is *unlimited* as well. :p
Well, if I owned two domain. I use one domain for the web hosting. And another for some other usage. I can spam the forum and say that my domain (the other one) is hosted with the host (owned by me) and they are very good. :p Just kidding.
Not to be offensive, but it really sounds like a spam to me as well.

amaf, If you really think Below10host is worse then that five minute job of a webhost think again. Below10 is one of the fastest webhosts on the internet at this time, out of the dozen I used.
BTW, I couldn't even access that site of yours...

nope , not working here either.
btw : if u really believe they allow unl. bandwith ,consider this : it would mean the should accept to host the yahoo.com mainpage ... lol , u really think they can handle that and get enough money for the bandwith

the server was down because they are setuping up a unix server.

That makes no sense. If I setup a unix machine, my current linux machine doesnt go down. Now if they're upgrading from NT or something to unix that makes sense but then again, why would anyone go with a host that has only one server?
High Bandwidth Connectivity and Redundant Connections allow us to guarantee 99.9% uptime on all sites. Our 30 day money back guarantee ensures you will be happy with your service.
Of course that downtime wasnt part of that 99.9% uptime now was it? :)
And of course, it only gets worse. When you go to the hosting prices page, you are told that by signing up you agree to their TOS, well, as hard as I tried, I never could find a TOS link. And any half deceent lawyer will tell you that if a company doesn't have public access to their terms of service, they might as well have no terms of service. Anotherwords I could run a warez site and sue your 'amazing' host if they took it down ;)
But the stupidity doesnt stop there... other then the poor design, both the FAQ and support links are broken, making me wonder just what kind of host this is....
A nice little domain whois reveals even more wonderful facts
Registrant:
triedia.com
Record last updated on 12-May-2001.
Record expires on 30-Jan-2002.
Record Created on 30-Jan-2001.
Domain servers in listed order:
NS.ATOMHOST.NET 216.74.123.89
NS2.ATOMHOST.NET 216.74.123.90
Now that record isnt totally horrible, the free email addresses are rather questionable but that happens. However, the fact that your great host uses another name/ host for their dns is very questionable.
I mean, in theory what they offer is just great but lets' be honest, it's a great big lie. After all, they have to pay for bandwidth, no matter how cheap they get it for. Use a few terrabytes of bandwidth and trust me, they'll go out of business. Nothing is unlimited except maybe poluted air.

I think Web Host AZ (www.webhostaz.com)can do better than that. $40 per year to host 3 domains at unlimited space/bandwidth

Are you working for them? I viewed two posts of yours, and all of them are about the host. And I think your post violated the rules.

Ok, I did a search for all your posts. And they are all about this host.
So, I guess you are really working for them. And I will warn everyone about this host. It's sucks to spam like that.

I'm a thinking.. actually almost knowing.. that this dude is a reseller of http://www.tacidhost.com
Look at the package, the same as tacidhosts. The upgrades are also the same. TacidHost are also adding Unix servers.
Tacidhost is good, but a UK host.

Donovan, you may be right but take a look at that host for a second either way...
Unlimited disk space
Unlimited bandwidth/transfer
Price include hosting for 3 domains (or sub-domains) without domain control panels
Control panels are *extra*, heh. Nice. What about that so called *unlimited* everything? Hmmm, could it be for real?
UNLIMITED USE POLICY
High bandwidth usage: WebHostAz offers an unlimited use policy by maintaining very large ratios of bandwidth per customer. In rare cases, WebHostAz may find a customer to be using server resources to such an extent that he or she may jeopardize server performance and resources for other customers. In such instances, WebHostAz reserves the right to impose the High Resource User Policy for the consideration of all customers.
HIGH RESOURCE USER POLICY
Resources are defined as bandwidth and/or processor utilization.
WebHostAz may implement the following policy to its sole discretion:
When a website is found to have consumed bandwidth/transfer beyond 1.3 GB per month, WebHostAz reserves the right to suspend that site immediately. This policy is only implemented in extreme circumstances and is intended to prevent the misuse of our servers. Customers with sites requiring high bandwidth/transfer are advised to "spread" the bandwidth demand over a few sites by setting up sub-domains.
-which of course is extra. So 'very large' is 1.3 gigs/mo apparently. Like I say, NEVER choose an 'unlimited' anything host. Never never never.
