ok pretty new at this, just stated learning it a few days ago,
I just want to know when you upload stuff to the db how would you do that?
Do u use a ftp program?
I am going to be have a test db at f2s and so how do I get files in there.
When I was reading a Tutorial at Webmonkey and it say;

Copy and paste the following text to a file and save it in MySQL's bin directory. (I'll call the file mydb.dump.)
But the db for a site at f2s is http://db.yoursite.f2s.com So how does it work?
Should I get a program to help me?

if you have phpMyAdmin

http://www.phpwizard.net/projects/phpMyAdmin/documentation.html

on your server and your home pc (you'd need mysql, apache, php as well) then it's easy to get a dump of the tables, data you want and transfer it. Means you can test all your stuff at home too.

If you want to do updates etc then you'd want something more advanced and I'm not aware of anything though there proberbly is. I need one at some point but I think I may have to do a custom vb script as I'm forced into having something on a machine without php,perl,java
