news or aricles script in php or cgi

hi,
i'm looking for a simple script not like php nuke but a script that organizes the site into categories so when you open the page you will see the sites categories like gossamer-threads links
and the admin can only submit news to any category or subcategory.
i know i can do this with html but it's easier if find a script that can do this.
i looked at hostcripts.com and tried afew news script but have yet to find what i'm looking for.
MaxWebPortal article section is what i really want but it's in asp so i'm looking for php or cgi script

well if you want CGI try out coranto, it has a category addon that works really well. It creates txt files for each category so you could create a real easy navigator
