New layout - review appreciated

I have revamped my site. The content is the same but I've changed quite a bit in the way it looks. Can you give it a look and tell me what you think.the url is http://www.jokemachine.f2s.com.

I'm looking for a background color that will work with what's already there, any suggestions?

I warn you in advance I'm on f2s(new servers) and my site sometimes doesn't load so be patient. It always loads a little later on.

as for the back ground color, I am thinking another shade of green? that is lighter?? but here is a good list of colors http://www.javascript-tricks.com/colorcodes.html you can use them to help.

i like it the way it is just i don't like the stars and the red title

I agree, the red title and the stars don't look that great. If you put a green header type graphic there instead, it would probably look pretty nice, and I think you could probably just leave the background white.

I thing any colour would go. except maybe olive green or some kind of neon one. One suggestion: have only 2 max jokes on the first page with a next link under the bottom one. This will look better and function better too. :)

I agree that they don't look too great, they are temporary till I find the time to do some graphic work. Graphics are not my strong point and they are gonna take a while.
I think I'm gonna keep the white background as I cannot make my mind up on a bgcolor to use instead. I had thought of using a pale yellow, I've put it on the e-mail me pages. Comments please.
